Oikos was the free friday download two Fridays ago. Today's free item for Kroger is the South Beach Meal Bars. I picked up both of these products today and got them for FREE! This was a total of $6 savings, what a great deal!

Swagbucks- Make Money for Using as a Search Engine and Shopping Online!

In the past I have only used swag bucks as a search engine on my smartphone. Swagbucks rewards you for using them as a search engine. Once you received enough points you can exchange the points for a gift card. I have earned eleven $5 amazon ($55 total) gift cards since I started using in October. 

I just discovered that you can also get "swagbucks" points for going through their website before making an online purchase. This is similar to Ebates.  (Please see below for more about Ebates). While I love Ebates sometimes they don't give cash back for some online stores I shop at. Swagbucks is another method to get that cash for the stores Ebates does not have cash back offers like Amazon. (Ebates will only give cash back for certain categories for Amazon and it is subject to change).

1. Ebates

I use go through Ebates every time I purchase something online such as through Target, Groupon or living Social. Ebates gives me a percentage of my purchase for going through their site. For example if I buy a $50 item at Target and go through Ebates with a 2% cash back I will get $1. A dollar may not seem like a lot but it adds up especially if you buy a high dollar item. Ebates pays you about twice a year by check or through Paypal. You receive your payment faster through Paypal. I have been paid $170 since I have joined.  I also got a $10 gift card to Home Depot when I first signed up for Ebates after a $25 qualifying purcahse This brings my total to $180 that ebates has paid me for using their site. Check your Credit Report each Year

With the Target breach and identity theft that happens all of the time now, it is important to check your credit report each year.  When you review your credit report, it can help you detect any type of identity theft. Two years ago I discovered someone had opened up two credit cards under my information and defaulted on them. It affected my FICO score by 100 points! It took one year of disputing this information to finally get this fraudulent information off my credit report.

The government lets you check your credit report for free once per year without affecting your FICO score. The government sponsored site is called AnnualCreditReport.com. It gives you a credit report from all three of the major credit monitoring business: Equifax, Experian and Transunion. The only downfall to this site is that it does give you your FICO score. You can get your FICO score from Experian, Equifax or Transunion but you will have to pay for it to review.

Make Money By Using this Smartphone App

Ibotta

Ibotta is a smartphone application that can earn you money. To earn money with this app you need to purchase specific items from certain local stores.  The Ibotta app finds your currently location and only gives you offers to your stores in your area.

Ibotta: Earn Money at your Local Grocery Store

Grocery Stores are usually where the most offers are found on Ibotta. What I like most about Ibotta is many of the items in the item gallery are items I already purchase. One of my recent offers was to buy a gallon of milk (any brand) at Kroger and earn $0.25 once you follow the redemption policy.

To earn the money with stores you have to follow this process. First purchase the product and then open up the Ibotta app on your smartphone. Next scan the product to make sure it is the correct product that Ibotta is promoting for cash back. Lastly take a picture of the receipt with the item purchased on it. Once the Ibotta team reviews it you will earn the cash for buying that item.

Ibotta: Earn Money at Other Places than Grocery Stores

Ibotta is not limited to grocery stores. There are offers to earn money at restaurants, movie theaters, electronics stores, babies and kids stores, home improvement stores and pet stores. Recently one of the movie theaters offers was earn a $1 on a single movie admission ticket to Anchorman 2. To receive the reward you need to keep the ticket stub to be able to take a picture of it to submit the offer on your smartphone.

Ibotta Pros

Receiving your money with Ibotta is easy as you can either get it via Paypal or redeem your balance for gift cards. Once you get a minimum of $5 you can transfer that money into your Paypal account.  I have used Ibotta for about two month now and have already earned $7.25.
